KIMBO – A STRIKING ROTTWEILER WITH A LOYAL HEART...
Kimbo arrived at the pound in March 2025 and was estimated to be around 2.5 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Rottweiler who was found, presumably abandoned on the streets, and brought to the pound.
Kimbo is a striking Rottweiler with a big personality and a loyal heart. He is a dog with character and presence, and he prefers to build trust at his own pace.
Like all dogs, Kimbo loves going out for walks. He walks well on the lead and is not bothered by passing cars, dogs, or people. He enjoys walking alongside other dogs and has been walking calmly with both female and male dogs without any problems.
Unfortunately, walks at the pound are rare due to the limited number of volunteers and the large number of dogs needing attention. Like all the dogs at the pound, Kimbo spends more than 23½ hours a day alone in his small cage, which is a sad and lonely existence for a dog who deserves much more.
Kimbo previously shared his cage with Mery without any issues (Mery has since been adopted), showing that he can coexist peacefully with the right companion. He has also been spending time in the patio, sharing space with a few female dogs, and he has been doing well with them.
During his time in the patio, Kimbo enjoys playing with his ball and simply being able to move around and spend time outside his cage.
Kimbo needs time to get to know you and build a relationship based on trust before he fully shows his affectionate side. Once that bond is there, he can be a loving companion who enjoys attention and affection.
Kimbo is looking for a responsible home with people who understand his breed and the needs of a strong, intelligent dog. He would do best with an experienced owner who is confident, patient, and willing to continue building a relationship based on trust and respect.
Kimbo can be selective with the people he bonds with, so a calm and patient approach is essential. For the right person, he has the potential to become a wonderful and loyal companion.
