Aurora, formerly Ana, first arrived at the pound in December 2024 at just two months old. As a tiny puppy, she went into foster care together with her sibling and was later adopted. At 11 months old, Aurora joined her current family, with whom she has been living ever since. Now in September 2026, at almost two years old, Aurora is looking for a new home.

Sadly, her family can no longer keep her due to a conflict between her and their other dog. Unless a new home or foster placement can be found, Aurora is due to return to the pound in September 2026. We therefore have very little time to find the right solution for her.

Aurora is a lovely, affectionate young dog who enjoys human attention, cuddles and having her belly rubbed. ❤️ She is intelligent, responds well to training and has been described as a dog who learns quickly and follows guidance well. She is also good with children and enjoys being part of family life.

Aurora has recently been taken to the vet for a health check and she is a healthy girl.

Her early life was not ideal. Her current family told us that she had previously spent much of her time living on a balcony, and when she first joined them at 11 months old, she had some issues with resource guarding. They also told us that they had worked with a professional trainer and that she made good progress.

Aurora will probably do best as the only dog in the home, where she can have her family's full attention and enjoy a calm and supportive environment. She needs a responsible and committed home where she can continue to learn, receive positive training and be part of a family who will give her the time and understanding she needs.

If you think you could offer Aurora the right home or foster placement, please contact us as soon as possible. Her return to the pound is currently scheduled for September, and we desperately want to find her a better solution before then. ❤️
