Pastora arrived at Los Barrios pound in June 2025 and was about 14 years old on arrival. She is a gorgeous German Shepherd Crossbreed that was found presumably abandoned on the streets and taken to the pound.

URGENT – END-OF-LIFE FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR PASTORA...

Pastora is around 14 years old and arrived at the pound in a truly heartbreaking condition. She is completely blind and has been diagnosed with cancer, including a visible tumour. Her time is limited – and she is facing it alone.

She spends 23.5 hours a day in a small, dark, and damp cage, with no human contact, no comfort, and no peace. This is no way for any dog to live, especially not one who has already endured so much.

What Pastora urgently needs is a quiet, safe, and loving space to spend her final weeks or months. A warm bed, a gentle hand, the sound of a kind voice – this is all she asks for. With basic care and kindness, she could know love before she leaves this world.

Pastora would prefer a home where she can be the only dog, as she feels more secure with space and calm surroundings.

All costs will be covered by the pound.
We are urgently looking for a local foster home where she can feel safe, loved, and not alone.
