Coletto arrived at Los Barrios pound in June 2025 and was about 2 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Crossbreed that was found presumably abandoned on the streets and taken to the pound.

Coletto – a sweet and playful young boy waiting for his forever home...
Coletto arrived at the pound together with his sister and is patiently waiting for adoption. He currently shares a tiny cage with his sister for more than 23 hours a day, day after day. This is no life for such young dogs—it is a waste of their precious time and potential. They are only let out briefly for a few minutes each day when their cage is being cleaned.

He is a lively and affectionate dog who enjoys playtime and interaction. Despite the many changes in his environment, Coletto remains gentle and eager to connect with people.

Due to challenging weather conditions and the risk of flooding, Coletto has been placed in foster homes, where he has been well cared for and loved. His foster families have shared valuable insights about his personality, which you can find below.

Coletto is still looking for a permanent home where he can truly thrive and receive the love and stability he deserves. If you are ready to open your heart and home to a young, playful companion, Coletto could be the perfect addition to your family.

FOSTER INFO: Coletto and his sister went into foster care for a week when the pound was at risk of flooding. Their foster family shared:
“They are very affectionate. They are both very good; they don’t make noise at night, and they’re playful with each other and with us. Coletto has learned to walk more calmly outside.
They both cry when they are apart, even if just one of them goes out for a walk.
Coletto is super intelligent; he learned to sit very quickly. In general, they are both very good, but they need time to adjust to the outside world—cars, other dogs, etc. They got along really well with my mom’s dog (who was also very kind to them, despite them barging into her territory). However, they are scared of barking dogs, their own reflection in windows, and sometimes the noise of the TV.
Coletto will try to steal food, but if you tell him no, he won’t do it again.”

Sadly, after a week in foster care, Coletto and his sister had to return to the pound, confined once again to a cage. These sweet siblings need a loving home where they can continue to grow and learn together.
