Gorda – Ready for a fresh start

Gorda is estimated to be around 6.5 years old and arrived at the pound in March 2026.

She arrived in poor condition, and it appears she may have been used for breeding, likely having had several litters of puppies in the past. Since arriving, she has started to settle into her new environment.

Her first few weeks were stressful, and it’s understandable — going from whatever life she knew before to a small cage, surrounded by barking dogs and unfamiliar faces, is a big adjustment for any dog. Day by day, she is starting to feel a bit more at ease.

We are still getting to know Gorda, but it’s already clear that she deserves a very different future from the one she may have known before — one filled with kindness, stability, and care.

Our biggest hope for her is a loving home where she will never again be expected to be anything other than a cherished companion.
