Chenoa – Abandoned twice, but still full of love
Chenoa is only around 2.5 years old, and yet she has already experienced more heartbreak than any dog should. She arrived at the pound for the second time in April 2026, after being handed back by the family who adopted her almost two years ago. As they left the country, they brought Chenoa back… along with their 11-year-old dog, leaving them both behind as if it were nothing.
This is not Chenoa’s first time here. She originally came to the pound in March 2024, just a big, joyful puppy. She spent around three months waiting, before finally being adopted — a moment that should have been her happy ending. Instead, it has led her back to the very place she once left behind.
Now she is here again. Recently arrived, still trying to understand what has happened, and slowly beginning to settle into a world that must feel confusing and uncertain all over again.
Chenoa is a beautiful Labrador cross, with so much life and love still inside her. She is young, full of potential, and deserves the chance to truly belong — not just temporarily, but for life.
To be abandoned once is hard enough. To be abandoned twice, at such a young age, is simply not fair. And yet, despite everything, we believe Chenoa has not lost her ability to trust, to love, and to hope.
She deserves a family who will see her for who she is, who will commit to her fully, and who will give her the stability and care she has been missing. A home where she will never again be left behind.
Chenoa is not a dog to be given up on. She is a dog worth choosing — and choosing forever.
