Raton – A Handsome and Playful Young Boy in Need of a Home
Raton arrived at the pound in March 2025 and was about 11 months old on arrival. He is a gorgeous crossbreed who was found, presumably abandoned, on the streets and brought to the pound.
Raton is a charming young boy who has so much love to give. He is sweet, playful, and full of life. Over the past month, he has been introduced to many dogs at the pound—both males and females—and every single time he has shown himself to be a wonderful and sociable boy. His fun and joyful nature will surely bring warmth and laughter to any home.
Raton loves going out on walks, although sadly this doesn’t happen often due to the lack of volunteers. At the start of his walks, he can feel overwhelmed by everything around him and may pull on the lead or bark at other dogs. However, with a little time and reassurance, he begins to settle and do much better. Spending more than 23½ hours a day in a small cage is not doing him any good, and the stress of this environment likely contributes to his reactions. What he truly needs is the chance to decompress in a calm, stable home where he can learn to feel safe.
Raton is currently living in a tiny cage, which he shares with another male and a female. This is no life for such a young and active dog. He is becoming increasingly stressed and really needs a loving home with an experienced family who can offer patience, guidance, and understanding. With the right support, Raton has all the potential to become an incredible companion.
He longs for freedom, companionship, and affection. He deserves so much more than this—Raton deserves a home where he can play, explore, and be showered with the love he craves.
Please consider giving Raton the second chance he’s waiting for. He is ready to be your loyal and loving companion—will you be the one to change his life?
