💛 This dog has been personally chosen by one of our volunteers, who will cover the adoption fee throughout July to help this dog find a forever home. Follow our special July campaign on Facebook and Instagram to hear this dog’s story from the volunteer who chose them.
Jenny arrived at Los Barrios pound in October 2025 and was about 4 years old on arrival. She is a gorgeous Crossbreed that was found presumably abandoned on the streets and taken to the pound.
Jenny is about 4 years old and a gentle, loving dog. She has Addison’s disease, which means she requires a daily tablet and regular blood tests. For her wellbeing, Jenny is currently staying at a private kennel, where she is doing very well, as the busy Pound environment is too stressful for her.
She gets along very well with other dogs and adores people, offering affection and companionship. Jenny travels well in the car and is very good off the lead. She is an attentive dog who enjoys focusing on her person and responding to guidance.
Jenny is a kind, gentle soul who deserves a caring and loving home of her own, where she will receive the love and attention she needs to thrive.
💛 February 2026 – Update 💛
Jenny is very lucky — she has started going on long walks with a dog trainer, who shares this with us:
“Jenny is an amazing dog! She’s easy-going and confident, can roam freely, and always comes back quickly when called. She gets along perfectly with other dogs and is just a joy to be around.”
⭐ Update June 2026 ⭐
Unfortunately, Jenny could not remain at the private kennel where she was initially staying. Thankfully, another private boarding facility was able to offer her a place, and she has settled in beautifully.
Her current carer describes her as a truly special dog with a wonderfully balanced character. Jenny is affectionate, sociable, and full of personality. She enjoys the company of both people and other dogs, yet she is also confident enough to entertain herself and enjoy her own space when she wishes.
She is reliable off lead, attentive to her surroundings, and naturally stays connected to her handler. Jenny can be calm and relaxed when appropriate, but she is also bright, active, and eager to engage with the world around her.
One of Jenny's greatest qualities is her adaptability. She adjusts well to different environments and routines, happily joining group activities but equally content to relax and enjoy quieter moments. Intelligent, well-balanced, and full of character, she is the kind of dog who leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets.
Now all Jenny needs is a family of her own—someone who will love and appreciate her for the wonderful dog she is. We are certain she will bring enormous happiness to the person or family willing to give her the chance she deserves.
