Laika arrived at the pound in May 2026 and is estimated to be around one and a half years old. She has only recently arrived, so we are still getting to know her personality little by little.

We have been told that Laika spent her life tied up before arriving at the pound, and it seems she may not have had much experience with the world around her. She can be a little unsure in some situations and a bit timid when meeting new people for the first time. However, she warms up quickly, especially if you have some treats with you.

Laika is happy to go out for walks and explore, although it really seems like walking on a lead is quite new to her. At the moment, she pulls on the lead, but during her walk she did not seem bothered by the people or dogs passing by. She also showed interest in the cars passing by, but without reacting negatively to them.

Right now, Laika is living alone in a tiny, damp, dark cage, which is of course very stressful for such a young dog. Despite her difficult start in life, she is a beautiful girl with so much potential ahead of her.

Laika deserves a patient and loving family who will gently help her discover that life can be safe, kind, and full of positive new experiences. With time, understanding, and guidance, we believe she can truly blossom.
