Olivo – A Sweet Little Boy Waiting for His Chance

Olivo arrived at the pound in January 2024, when he was around three years old. He was found wandering the streets, presumably abandoned, and brought to the pound. He is a small, lovely-sized boy weighing only around 8 kg, with a big personality inside his little body.

When Olivo first arrived, he was very unsure and cautious around people. But over time, he has made incredible progress. With the people he knows and trusts, he has shown what a loving and affectionate little dog he truly is.

Olivo loves affection, cuddles, and gentle moments with the people he trusts. One of his favourite things is to put his little face close to you, leaning into your chest and enjoying a quiet moment of connection. He is a real sweetheart once he feels safe.

Olivo is still a sensitive little dog and he needs people who understand and respect his boundaries. He prefers to be approached and handled on his own terms, and if he feels uncomfortable or pressured, he may react by trying to defend himself. For this reason, he needs a patient and understanding family who will give him the time and space he needs to build trust. A home without small children would be best for him.

Once Olivo trusts you, he can become a wonderful companion. He enjoys going for walks and is very good on the lead, making him a lovely little partner for outdoor adventures. He gets along well with other dogs and would do best with people who appreciate that trust takes time.

Olivo has now spent around two and a half years of his life waiting behind bars in the pound. Day after day, he watches the world go by from his cage, hoping that someone will finally choose him.

This sweet little boy deserves a chance to leave the pound behind and discover the comfort and security of a home where he is understood and loved for who he is.
