Shena’s story is one of patience and resilience. She arrived at the pound in 2018, only about 18 months old. At the pound, she shared a cage with a male dog, and they loved to play together in the patio during their daily break from the cage. She also loves being with people, enjoying cuddles and playtime.
In March 2021, when the pound was at risk of flooding, she moved to the Animals in Need Foundation Gibraltar training kennel, where she has lived ever since. The team there tells us she gets along with some male dogs, but she has a strong character and can be selective with other dogs, so she would do best as the only dog in a home. She is well-trained in obedience and responds beautifully.
Shena is a sweet, playful, and affectionate girl. She loves attention, cuddles, and being close to people. She is looking for a family experienced with her breed—someone who will take her on long walks, give her structure, and shower her with the love she has waited so long for. This poor girl has been living in a cage since she was only 1.5 years old—8 long years! It’s her turn now to have a home, a family, and all the happiness she deserves.
