Good news! Improved tax advantages have been established by Law 49/2002 and are in force from 1st January 2024 for donors to non-profit entities:

• An 80% deduction of Personal Income Tax will be applied to the first €250 of donations (resulting in €200 recovered).
  
• A further deduction of 40% will be applied to the amount that exceeds €250.
  
• This 40% deduction will increase to 45% if donations have been made to the same charity in the two immediately preceding tax periods, with the later amount being equal to or higher than the previous donations.
  
• Similarly, corporate donors benefit significantly, with a 40% deduction from the Corporate Income Tax quota for donated amounts, and 50% for recurring donations.
  
• However, deductions may not exceed 15% of the tax base of all the returns submitted within a year.
